Tarot Readings FAQ's and Disclaimer

What is Tarot?

Tarot is a form of divination (cartomancy) that uses a set of cards to gain insight and achieve greater control over issues involving relationships, opportunities, life changes and decision making.

The Tarot deck is over 500 years old. With archetypal (Jungian) roots that go back almost 2000 years, Tarot has become a repository of ancient wisdom. Interestingly, our modern playing cards are a division of the Tarot.

The history of Tarot symbolism is cloaked in mystery. Some of the Tarot symbols are thought to have originated in China, India or Egypt. Tarot cards date back to 15th century Italy, Spain and France.

How does Tarot work?

Tarot provides insight and clarity to the elements of your situation that you cannot see. If the picture is incomplete, you cannot possibly begin to form an accurate assessment of what is happening in your life, and more importantly, you cannot make an informed decision about how to take things forward or manifest goals.

Clarity comes through being shown the motives of others (and yourself), their intentions (and yours). Tarot pulls back the veil and reveals what is affecting your life.  Tarot taps both the subconscious and the super-conscious mind, the centre of our psychic abilities.

You will receive your readings within 3 days of making your booking, this email will be clearly stated in the subject title TAROT READING. Before opening your message, and to ultimately get the maximum benefit from a reading it is best to be relaxed or in a safe environment, keep an open mind and leave the skepticism behind. Remember that Tarot causes no harm or any negative effects, however if you feel anxious or nervous then we would suggest that you ponder over your questions with a calm mind, write them out if that helps or indulge in a bit of meditation beforehand. Do whatever you need to do to ensure you are calm and comfortable.

What can you use Tarot for?

Tarot can be a very useful tool when it comes to matters of the heart and relationships. It is also fantastic for business strategizing, finance, well-being, career opportunities and negotiations, decision-making, self-counselling, self-growth and meditation.

What kind of questions can I ask Tarot?

Please carefully consider your questions to have an effective reading. Ineffective questions will result in ineffective answers. It is best to ask open ended questions such as "What information do I need to know for X?" or "How can progress be made to Y?". Try to avoid asking Yes/No questions or repeat questions in a short time frame as they do not allow for much elaboration or insight into a situation.  If you do require specific Yes/No answers then we would use a dowsing process through means of a pendulum.

Can Tarot predict the future?

A detailed enough Tarot spread can offer a great sense of probabilities of things to come. The way situations turn out is ultimately up to you and how well you adapt to the ever-changing conditions that your Tarot readings may reflect.  Situations that may not be clearly seen due to ego may come to light. We would never claim to be a fortune-teller and no, we can't tell you the lottery numbers either.

How often do I need a Tarot reading?

There's no right or wrong answer to this, it simply depends on how often you feel the need for insight, clarity or guidance. We would personally recommend you only really use Tarot readings for major life events or decisions. Larger, more detailed spreads such as the Celtic Cross need not be done as often as other spreads. Business Strategizing Readings can be done weekly and Daily Card Pulls can obviously be pulled every day of the week or as often as required.

Opting for a daily reflection spread in the mornings is a great start to the day and can help you to navigate through your day with success and ease.

For us, Tarot has always be quite ritualistic. We really believe that working with the Lunar Cycles and Celestial Events is one of the best times for Tarot readings.
