Joshi’s Homestay, Old Manali, Manali, Himachal Pradesh, 175131, India
Location – 8/10 Here, we stayed right at the top of the hill through Old Manali. We had some great views of the hills around us as well as a couple of waterfalls. The area was so quiet and away from the town. All you could hear from where we were staying was cows and goats as we were more in the residential area of Manali. The town was just a short walk away with everything you could need and want. Lots of shops, hairdressers, restaurants… you name it!
Facilities – 6/10 We had a cosy little room with a private bathroom. The room also had Wi-Fi so we could do some planning and research for the next destinations.
Value- 8/10 Many places in Manali were quite expensive when we were looking and/or were sold out but fortunately we came across Joshi’s Homestay at just RS900 for two people per night. Great value for the location.
Cleanliness – 7/10 Our room was clean and tidy with basic decor. There were a few nice touches like candles and incense sticks in the room. The only thing I really could not stand was the amount of flies here… it was awful!
Comfort – 6/10 We slept well while here and our room was descent enough. It would have been nice to have an outdoor seating area to relax in. It was sometimes difficult to sleep because you would end up with your face covered by flies.
Overall – 7/10 Overall, Joshi’s Homestay was a pleasant stay in an ideal location close to everything you could need in Manali. It was quiet and peaceful, great value for money also. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. I would happily return here… I would just need to bring some fly paper with me.
